  1. The Pacific Airshow is coming back this year! “The aerial event will be held from Sept. 30 through Oct. 2, and this year's show will be headlined by the prestigious U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds and the Canadian Forces Snowbirds.” (Newsbreak)
  2. HB is 26th on the list of America’s safest cities. Per 100,000 residents, there are 246 violent crimes, 1,963 property crimes, 6.9 traffic deaths, 12.5 drug deaths, and 19.24% engaging in excessive drinking. The city moved up three spots from 29th in 2021. The comparison shows that violent crimes and property crimes decreased. (Smart Asset)
  3. Thursday, the PD was alerted around 11:30 a.m. “about a man flinging items at passing vehicles at Brookhurst Street south of Chapman Avenue." The alleged thrower is a 30-year-old transient who was charged on Monday “with single felony counts each of assault with a deadly weapon, assault with force likely to produce great bodily injury and throwing a missile with the intent to do serious bodily harm.” He allegedly hurled chunks of concrete.   4. Which are the best SoCal companies to work for, according to Fortune Magazine in a release on Monday? At the top of the list is New American Funding, which is headquartered in Tustin. “The other Southern California-based companies mentioned farther down in Fortune's 2022 ranking include: Experian (Costa Mesa), The Cheesecake Factory (Calabasas), First American Financial (Santa Ana), the Panda Restaurant Group (Rosemead), and Scripps Health (San Diego).” (NBC)
