  1. The HB City School District released its weekly COVID-19 dashboard on Monday. Out of 5,513 individuals at all school sites, two have tested positive for COVID. One is at Peterson Elementary and the other one at Moffett Elementary. (HBCSD)
  2. A reporter spent some time at Urban Forest in HB on Tuesday. He saw California poppies in full bloom. You can see it for yourself by heading to “Central Park north of Ellis Avenue between Goldenwest and Edwards streets.” (Matt Szabo)
  3. Another reporter spent some time at the beach last week. There, he found that “Jared Goff and Amon-Ra St. Brown are putting in some off-season work together at 3DQB, Goff’s usual Huntington Beach training spot.” (Chris Burke)
  4. The Senior Class at Ocean View HS wants you to go to Chipotle! Well, they want you to go specifically on April 5 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. The vendor has graciously agreed to hold a fundraiser, and “33% of event sales get donated to the cause.” “The students need to generate at least $150 in order to qualify for the proceeds, so please mark your calendar and help support these seniors.” (HB News)

Where should you invest as a Huntington Beach resident with a $149,000 nest egg? Thanks to a change in the legal code, there’s a new investment Huntington Beach residents need to know about. In fact, Bloomberg asked experts where they’d invest $100,000 right now, and many of them chose it.

This may surprise you, but it’s fine art.

Growing your nest egg with art isn’t new. Wealthy families like the Rockefellers have done it for centuries.

Here’s why:

  • Low correlation to stocks according to Citi
  • Contemporary art historically returns 23.2% when inflation is >3%
  • Contemporary art prices outpaced the S&P 500 by 164% (1995-2021)

Translation: Art could be one of the best investments for uncertain times.

Luckily for you, we found Masterworks. This revolutionary platform lets you invest in art by Warhol, Monet, Picasso without spending millions.

The best part? Anyone from your area can skip their waitlist*.
