Carmen®
"Carmen Hass is similar to Hass Avocado but smaller 6-14 oz fruit. It has excellent flavor with two distinct crops a year. The fruit has black, medium-thick skin and an oval shape.

Esther
Esther is a medium to large oval shaped fruit very similar to Hass. The flesh is creamy and delicious, similar colour to Hass, the seed however is slightly bigger than the Hass. The special thing about Esther is that the plant is semi dwarf. The fruit lasts longer on shelves once picked and extremely prolific.

Leavens Hass
New Variety Leavens Avocado offers the same Hass characteristics but that it ripens four weeks earlier.

Pinkerton
The Pinkerton avocado is a highly recommended avocado due to their consistent production, flavor and manageable tree size. This variety heavily produces of green pebbly-skinned flesh fruit. The small seeded fruits have an exceptional flavor with a high oil content and are relatively easy to peel. Fruit size 14-16 oz.
Type A Ripens November - April.
Ettinger
Ettinger is a very good green-skinned avocado with a clear, clean taste. Green-skin, clean taste, slender. Origin: Ettinger is a Type B avocado of Guatemalan/Mexican descent.

Type B Ripens October-March
Fuerte
"Fuerte is medium sized, averaging a little bigger than Hass fruit. The skin is green, only slightly bumpy with yellow dots, and notably it remains green even when it’s ripe. If the fruit has been mishandled, then black spots appear on the skin as it ripens (they are not hidden as they are with the black skin of Hass).
The shape is similar to a pear, but the Fuerte avocados characteristically always have this unique slant to their bottom ends. "

Jim Bacon
The Jim Bacon avocado is a selection of Bacon that produces flavorful, green-skinned fruit with smooth and creamy flesh. It can produce high yields on an attractive, upright tree. It is slightly more cold hardy than Bacon.

Sharwil avocados are pear shaped with bumpy skin, and the skin remains green when ripe.

If you have space for 2 trees, having one type A and Another Type B typically results in more and larger fruit. If only having one tree , it should produce fruit , just less of it.
If you have a tree that is over 5 years old and it has not produced fruit, it is possibly a seedling - an ungrafted fruit tree. Just like a child is not a clone of the parents so is fruit trees from seeds. Growing an avocado from seed results in a low chance of tasty fruit and a long time to even get that. Grafting is taking a piece of wood from a desired variety and attaching it to a root stock. as that wood fuses and grows out, that new branch onward will be the desired variety , fruiting sooner and producing the tasty fruit desired. ..
