DANA POINT, CA — Roll down those patio umbrellas, Dana Point — strong winds are predicted for Orange County this week.

A wind advisory was issued for Orange County by the National Weather Service Wednesday night in anticipation winds ranging from 30 to 40 miles per hour and gusts up to 75 miles per hour.

In inland Orange County, residents can also expect isolated gusts up to 100 miles per hour, according to the National Weather Service.

The wind advisory will be in effect from Wednesday night to Thursday evening, with the strongest winds predicted to occur before sunrise Thursday and into Thursday morning.

Residents were advised by the National Weather Service to use extra caution when driving, especially if operating a high profile vehicle, and to bring in outdoor objects that may get blown down or away due to winds.
