Rain Showers Forecasted For Dana Point, Warmer Weekend Ahead
Dana Point residents can expect the return of a light rain and lower temperatures this week, the National Weather Service reported.
DANA POINT, CA — Springtime weather in Laguna Beach will give way to a cool down with light rain forecasted for coastal Orange County cities later this week, the National Weather Service reported.
According to the NWS, a trough of low pressure currently off the Central California coast will swing across the inland region starting Wednesday night, bringing in patchy fog, drizzle and overcast conditions.
"There could be some patchy drizzle or light showers from this deepening marine layer, with the greater chances for Wednesday night into Thursday morning, and again for Thursday night into Friday morning," the NWS said.

Small amount of precipitation are expected in metropolitan areas of Orange County and surrounding locations.
Temperatures will slide from above normal to five to 10 degrees below normal Wednesday to Friday, forecasters said.

In Orange County metro areas, the highs Tuesday will be in the upper 60s, with overnight lows in the low 50s, while Wednesday to Friday, the daytime mercury will peak in the mid 60s, with no change in the lows.
Going into the weekend, there will be a gradual warming trend with mostly sunny skies, according to meteorologists.
