Businesses Evacuated In Wildomar Due To Gas Leak

WILDOMAR, CA — A cracked gas line prompted the evacuation of several businesses Thursday in Wildomar while crews worked to mitigate the leak.
The rupture was reported at 2:30 p.m. Thursday in the 24000 block of Prielipp Road, near Inland Valley Drive, according to Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department.
The agency said that multiple engine crews were sent to the location and encountered a compromised gas main, though the circumstances behind the leak were not immediately known.

A total of 24 units within a business complex were impacted. However, not all of the units were evacuated. The occupants of some were told to shelter- in-place, officials said.
SoCal Gas Co. technicians were summoned, and by 3:30 p.m., they were working to mitigate the leak.
