Lake Elsinore Storm Expand Dog Day To 'Well Mannered' Pets
What's minor-league baseball without shenanigans? In Lake Elsinore, it's a matter of bringing your own best friend, provided they are nice.

LAKE ELSINORE, CA — The minor league ballpark Lake Elsinore Storm Stadium planned its first "Wildlife Wednesday" game of the 2025 California League season Wednesday evening.
According to the team, this will be a weekly promotion, an expansion of Dog Day, with "every well-behaved cat, donkey, iguana, and gerbil" welcome with the purchase of a $1 ticket and waiver signed at the ticket office.
Lake Elsinore Diamond can refuse or remove any dangerous or disruptive animals brought into the ballpark. The team announced that every pet owner is responsible for the safety and cleanliness of their accompanying pet.

The game will also be the first of the season for "Omaha the Bat Dog," who will be retrieving bats at at games held in the ballbpark nearly every Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday game at Lake Elsinore Diamond.
"Omaha is a 2-year-old golden retriever/flat-coated retriever/white Swiss shepherd mix adopted from Southern California Golden Retriever Rescue," according to a stadium spokesperson. "He is beginning his second season as a bat-retrieving dog."
