PERRIS, CA — Firefighters from the Riverside County Fire Department were battling a vegetation fire Sunday that was burning at least three acres.

The fire was reported around 2:35 p.m. Sunday in the 23100 block of Ellis Avenue in an unincorporated area near Perris, where firefighters reported the fire burning in light flashy fuels.

Additional resources were requested to include air support, according to the fire department.
