Hot Air Balloon Crashes In Riverside County: Video

PERRIS, CA — Video posted on the social media platform TikTok showed the harrowing moment a hot air balloon crashed in Riverside County.

In the 24-second clip posted last week, a smiling Nick McCall records himself in the passenger basket flying over a residential neighborhood.

He said the ride was "going great" — until winds picked up. In the next shot, a man who appears to be piloting the balloon yells, "Here we go!"

The barrels into the ground as panicked passengers scream.

As the balloon continues to fly, scraping the field below, the operator repeatedly urges passengers to "hang on" and "stay in the basket."

McCall said everyone was ok. His video has been watched more than 4 million times.
