Man, 46, Killed In Mead Valley Shooting

MEAD VALLEY, CA — Authorities Saturday were investigating a shooting that left a 46-year-old man dead in Mead Valley.

The shooting was reported at 7:06 p.m. Friday in the 19600 block of Seaton Avenue, according to the Riverside Country Sheriff's Department.

When deputies arrived at the location, they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound, said Sgt. Ben Ramirez. The man was later pronounced dead at the scene.

The Riverside County coroner's office identified the victim as Robert Toy of Mead Valley.

Details about what led up to the shooting were not provided.

No arrests had been made as of Saturday morning, and authorities said an investigation was ongoing.
