MENIFEE, CA — A 21-year-old man and 20-year-old woman were hospitalized Saturday after a single-vehicle crash in Menifee, the Menifee Police Department announced.

The crash was reported around 2:50 a.m. Saturday near the intersection of Newport Road and Lone Pine Drive.

Authorities said the man was driving a Ford Focus eastbound on Newport when it veered to the right and struck a wall near the intersection.

Investigators said they believe alcohol was a factor in the crash.
