Renée Zellweger Supports 'Local' During Wildomar Stop

WILDOMAR, CA — Another locally-owned Southwest Riverside County business has reported a Renée Zellweger visit.

This week, family-owned and operated Tresino's Italian restaurant in Wildomar served the famous actress, according to the eatery's Facebook page.

"Big thanks to Renée Zellweger for dining with us at Tresino’s this evening and for being so nice and kind to us all!!!" the restaurant shared on the social media platform alongside a photo of staff posing with the smiling Zellweger.

Tresino's, located at 36068 Hidden Springs Road, is known for its fresh cuisine and family recipes stemming back three generations. As the story goes, the restaurant's roots can be traced to 1964 when Giovannina Mazzocchio — grandmother to the current owners — opened a small Italian bistro in the Midwest that catered to famous celebs of the era: Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr.

Tresino's is carrying the torch with a big-name patron in Zellweger, but the Academy Award-winning actress has some other Southwest Riverside County faves. On Mother's Day 2023, she visited family-owned Famous PUDN in Murrieta. Naturally, the eatery was quite busy.

"I asked her if she didn't want to order right away or have me bring something to her, but she just smiled and said she'd wait in line like everyone else," PUDN owner EJ Smith III told Patch following Zellweger's visit.
