RivCo Deputy Arrested In Lake Elsinore On Suspicion Of Vehicle Theft, Unauthorized Computer Use

The 25-year-old deputy has worked for the department since 2023 and was recently assigned to the southwest station.

LAKE ELSINORE, CA — A Riverside County deputy was arrested and placed on administrative leave on suspicion of possessing a stolen vehicle, among other charges, authorities said.

Deputy Dakota Robson, 25, was arrested in Lake Elsinore on Thursday and was booked into the Cois Byrd Detention Center without incident, according to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.

He was booked on one count of vehicle theft, one count of possession of a stolen vehicle and one count of unauthorized computer access.

Robson began working for the department in June 2023, but was recently assigned to the Southwest Sheriff’s Station.

While the investigation is underway, Robson has been placed on paid administrative leave, officials said. No other details were available.
