RivCo Human Trafficking Suspects Arrested, 9 Victims Found: Sheriff
Two were arrested during a Corona Human Trafficking investigation. The Sheriff's Department believes there are more victims yet to be found.

CORONA, CA —A man and woman were arrested on suspicion of human trafficking after multiple alleged victims were located inside a Corona home, the Riverside County Sheriff's Department shared in a recent statement.
Corona resident Eldra Reese, 38, was arrested Thursday near El Paso and Hidden Valley Parkway in Corona following a lengthy human trafficking investigation. Janin Wohlwend, 21, was arrested at the home on Aztec Circle where multiple victims were also found.
Reese was booked into the Southwest Detention Center in Murrieta on suspicion of human trafficking, pimping, pandering, and conspiracy to commit a felony. Wohlwend was booked into Riverside's Presley Detention Center on suspicion of pimping, pandering, procuring at least one person for prostitution, and conspiracy to commit a felony.

According to jail records, both are being held on $500,000 bail, awaiting a March 13 court date at the Riverside Hall of Justice.
Investigators say they received an anonymous tip about human trafficking in a Corona neighborhood in 2024.

Led by the Riverside County Anti-Human Trafficking Task Force, they enlisted the aid of the Sheriff's Gang Task Force in making the arrests and locating victims.
"Authorities obtained a search warrant and arrived at a residence on the 1900 block of Aztec Circle in Corona on Thursday," Sgt. Robert Kelly said.
The department said investigators found "several potential victims" at the residence.
Further investigation led to the discovery of nine "potential victims," four of which have been located and interviewed, according to Kelly. He indicated that the department is seeking additional victims in this case.
