RIVERSIDE, CA — Riverside police detectives announced Saturday they have arrested two suspects in connection with a 2023 homicide in the Eastside neighborhood.

Two people were shot about 5:15 p.m. on May 28, 2023, near Chicago Avenue and Lincoln Street. Both were taken to a hospital where 19-year-old Isaiah Arviso of Riverside died from his wounds, according to Officer Ryan J. Railsback.

"Detectives initially had limited suspect description and exhausted all available leads, as this shooting appeared to be gang-related," Railsback said. "With continued efforts and assistance from the METRO Team and the Crime Analysis Unit, they were able were to identify Bryan Torres-Arroyo and Francisco Gallegos as the suspects. Search warrants were served at their residences last week, and both suspects were arrested for murder."
