"SCCA expresses its deepest condolences and heartfelt sympathy to Ryan’s family and loved ones. The Club stands united and ready to offer support to those in need during this challenging time."
SCCA describes autocross as drivers' maneuvering through traffic cones on a "road course in a parking lot to see who can get the lowest time without hitting any cones or going off course." According to the SCCA.com website, this is a low-speed but intense competition. It was unclear why Ryan was on the course during the crash.
