Vegetation Fire In Riverside Stopped From Forward Spread

RIVERSIDE, CA — The forward rate of spread of a vegetation fire burning in Riverside was stopped Sunday.

Light smoke and flames were reported around 4:50 p.m. Sunday in the 48000 block of Crestmore Road in Jurupa Valley, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.

In an update at 6:30 p.m., the department stated the forward rate of spread had been stopped. An update on the acreage was unavailable.

Firefighters were expected to remain on the scene for an additional two hours to perform mop up operations.
