Woman Arrested On Burglary Charges In $11K Equipment Theft

Investigators identified a Horsethief Canyon resident as the suspect in the burglary.

LAKE MATHEWS, CA — A 39-year-old woman was in custody Wednesday, on suspicion of stealing about $11,000 of equipment from a business in the unincorporated Horsethief Canyon in Riverside County.

Jenna Bologna, a Horsethief Canyon resident, was arrested without incident on pending charges including burglary in the second degree, forgery, vandalism, and other charges, jail records show.

Just after 3 p.m. on April 23, deputies from the Riverside County Sheriff's Department Lake Matthews station responded to the 14000 block of Temescal Canyon Road on reports of a burglary, Sgt. Matthew Bolle said.

The Lake Matthews Station Enforcement Team identified Bologna as the suspected burglar.

Authorities served a search warrant at a residence in the 29000 block of Cow Canyon Road in Horsethief Canyon on May 7, where they recovered the stolen property, according to Bolla. She was booked that same day and, according to jail records, was awaiting her court date of May 20 at the Larry D. Smith Correctional Facility.
