Community Forum to Discuss Gangs

Police will provide information on how the department is working to curb gang activity in town.

Here's an announcement from the Livermore Police Department:

The Livermore Police Department Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association is proud to announce the next community education presentation to be held at the , 4444 East Ave. This presentation will discuss the topic of gangs in our community and will begin at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 11. The topic will be presented by members of the , including school resource officers and the chief of police.

Discussions will include topics such as:

  • Are we seeing an increase in gangs or gang activity? Why?
  • What are we, as a community, doing to prevent this? 
  • Does the police department have officers assigned to gang enforcement? 

These questions, and more, will be discussed and answered at the community meeting.

Although reservations are not required, signing up for the program by calling 925-373-5700 helps plan seating arrangements.
