Livermore Officer Finds Stolen Gun During Traffic Stop
When pulled over by the LPD, a motorist who resides in El Sobrante was found with a stolen handgun. He also had an outstanding warrant.

LIVERMORE, CA -- A traffic stop by a police officer Saturday night resulted in a stolen gun being found and the arrest of a Contra Costa County man, according to authorities.
The traffic stop occurred around 11 pm Saturday night, when an officer on patrol contacted a male driver from El Sobrante inside his vehicle.
A check showed that the driver had a warrant for his arrest, and a subsequent search of the vehicle resulted in locating a handgun that had been reported stolen out of Louisiana.

The driver, whose name has not been released, was arrested for the outstanding warrant as well as multiple weapons charges, according to Livermore police.
