LIVERMORE, CA -- The Livermore Amador Valley Transit Authority (LAVTA), operator of the Wheels and Rapid bus services, was recently named as the recipient of four First Place AdWheel Awards, presented by the American Public Transportation Association (APTA).

The annual AdWheel Awards competition recognizes the best marketing and communications efforts by transit systems throughout North America.

Transit agencies compete within one of three peer groups based on annual ridership. There
were a total of 17 First Place awards announced in the small operator category in which
LAVTA competes. LAVTA’s four first place awards were not only the most by any small
operator, they were the most by any transit agency of any size.
