LIVERMORE, CA — A brush fire broke out around noon Monday near the intersection of I-580 eastbound and North Livermore Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol. Heavy smoke is visible from the freeway, according to photos tweeted by CHP.

The Watch Duty app reported that the fire grew to an acre and was contained by noon.

However, delays are ongoing and smoke is still visible on 580 eastbound as of 3:45 p.m., according to 511.org and the CHP log.
