15-Year-Old Robs Man, Fires Gun In Long Beach: Police Say

The teenage boy was arrested, police say.

LONG BEACH, CA — A 15-year-old was arrested Saturday after police say he fired a gun during a robbery in Long Beach.

Officers responded to a report of a robbery in the area of Broadway and Tribune Court just after 1:30 a.m., the Long Beach Police Department said.

While officers were responding to the battery, they saw an unrelated robbery nearby, according to police.

An initial investigation showed that a 15-year-old robbed a man at gunpoint, police said, adding that the teen fired a gun during a physical altercation with the man.

As officers arrived, the teenage boy fled; however, officers found and arrested him nearby, according to police.
