LONG BEACH, CA — A 15-year-old was arrested Saturday after police say he fired a gun during a robbery in Long Beach. Officers responded to a <a href="https://www.longbeach.gov/police/news/lbpd-blotter-jan-3-2026/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">report of a robbery in the area of Broadway</a> and Tribune Court just after 1:30 a.m., the Long Beach Police Department said. While officers were responding to the battery, they saw an unrelated robbery nearby, according to police. An initial investigation showed that a 15-year-old robbed a man at gunpoint, police said, adding that the teen fired a gun during a physical altercation with the man. As officers arrived, the teenage boy fled; however, officers found and arrested him nearby, according to police. An investigation into the incident is ongoing, police said.
