4 Masked Robbers Attack Man In LA County Home Invasion, Still At Large

The robbers entered through an unlocked window, attacked the resident and fled with jewelry before midnight, police said.

SAN MARINO, CA — Four people who attacked a man during a home invasion robbery in San Marino remain at large Wednesday, according to police.

The incident occurred before midnight Wednesday morning, when masked intruders entered a home on the 2900 block of Duarte Road, near San Gabriel Boulevard, and ransacked several bedrooms, according to the San Marino Police Department.

A resident was inside his home when the suspects removed a screen and entered through an unlocked front window. One suspect clobbered the man on the head and arm with a blunt object while a second one brandished a pistol and demanded cash, police said.

Police said surveillance video shows the suspects emerging from a car wearing dark hoodies, face coverings and gloves.

They were inside the home for about seven minutes and exited the way they came in. They stole jewelry and a watch, police said.

The man was transported to a local hospital for treatment and later released.

The incident is under investigation.
