Atrium is hosting a special one day brunch event this Sunday, March 12 from 10am to 3pm in honor of the season finale of HBO Max’s hit show, The Last of Us. The restaurant's new Executive Chef, Emmanuel Cadengo, has created a menu inspired by the show's post-apocalyptic world, using fresh, organic, gourmet mushrooms from Smallhold’s newest farm in Los Angeles.

The Last of Us is set in 2023, twenty years into a global pandemic caused by a mass fungal infection that has collapsed society, and Atrium's inspired brunch menu includes dishes like Mushroom Benedict and Adobo Mushroom Chilaquiles. Other highlights include Fried Oyster and Waffle, Roasted Trumpet Banh Mi, and Blue Oyster Frittata. Additionally, the bar team has created two cocktails and a non-alcoholic option that features: Joel (mezcal, mixed mushroom, artichoke, honey, white pepper), Ellie (gin, lion's mane, elderflower, sage, lime) and a Lion's Mane Horchata with or without espresso.

Mushrooms for each dish are provided by Smallhold, a growing network of organic mushroom farms in Brooklyn, Austin, and Los Angeles. The company is on a mission to shorten the distance between consumer and fresh, organic, gourmet mushrooms, saving on food miles, resource use, and agricultural waste in the process.
