LOS ANGELES, CA — Sunday’s 83rd annual Golden Globes set the tone for a fiercely competitive 2026 awards season. The ceremony, hosted for the second year in a row by Nikki Glaser, returned to the Beverly Hilton Hotel.
Glaser didn’t hold back, taking aim at the CBS Nightly News anchor shake‑up and Leonardo DiCaprio’s dating life. She also sang her heart out, performing “Golden” from Netflix’s “K‑Pop Demon Hunters” while dressed as Timothée Chalamet in “Marty Supreme.”
“One Battle After Another” set the pace for the film categories, winning best picture – musical or comedy, with Paul Thomas Anderson taking best director and Teyana Taylor earning best supporting actress in a motion picture. “Hamnet” secured the night’s major drama honors, with Jessie Buckley winning actress in a drama and the film itself taking best drama. “Sinners” made its mark as well, earning the Cinematic and Box Office Achievement Award, even as Michael B. Jordan fell short in his bid for best actor for his performance in the film.
