📰 Here are the top stories today in Los Angeles:

1) Two men were killed in a shooting “in the 1900 block of 6th Street” on Tuesday after 11 p.m. “Police also said another person at the scene sped away and was involved in an accident nearby. She is being interviewed by detectives.” (ABC)

2) There was a hit-and-run incident at Fickett and Boulder streets. It happened Saturday around 9 p.m., and involved a “white Ford Econoline van” that collided with an electrical scooter rider and “dragged him approximately 25 feet before he was dislodged.” The Econoline driver kept going, and you can get “up to $25,000” if you know something and drop a dime. (The Eastsider LA)

3) There’s an app for tracking the impact of wildfires and their forecasted smoke patterns called California Smoke Spotter. “The map also spotlights each current wildfire or prescribed burn, with info on its size, location, containment and lead firefighting agency.” The smoke pattern information is a new update that happened in August. (Time Out)

4) As you’re gearing up for voting in November, there’ll be a candidate forum on September 28. Taking place at 7 p.m. at the Hammer Museum, it’ll feature City Council District 5 and LA County Board of Supervisors District 3 candidates. The event is “presented by UCLA in partnership with the North Westwood Neighborhood Council, Spectrum News, West LA Chamber of Commerce, Westwood Community Council, and Westwood Village Improvement Association.” (Hammer)

5) Mark your calendars! Rolling Loud is coming to Hollywood Park on March 3. It is a rap festival that will be celebrating “the undeniable influence of the West Coast on hip-hop and featuring some of the hottest rappers in the game.” (Billboard)
