📰 Here are the top five stories in Los Angeles today:

1) Route fire update: As of Saturday, the Castaic Route fire is 71% contained. Firefighters were able to keep it at its 5,208-acre size. Officials anticipate full containment by Wednesday. However, two structures were destroyed. (Whittier Daily News/paywall)

2) There was a commercial building fire at 770 East 17th Street on Friday afternoon. “The 2,254-square-foot building, which was built in 1999, had electrical wires down near its front, but 70 firefighters were able to extinguish the flames.” If you noticed some smoke over the 10, that’s where it came from. (KTLA, LAFD)

3) The L.A. City Council voted Friday to approve $129,000 “to remove graffiti and provide other maintenance efforts on the Sixth Street Bridge.” The sum is a marked decrease from the originally requested $353,000. To put this in perspective, “crews spent an average of 14 1/2 hours combined each day in August removing graffiti from the bridge.” (NBC)

4) Trusaic, a software company, will move from Koreatown to the DTLA Biltmore Court. It “is relocating its corporate headquarters to a reimagined workspace at 520 S. Grand Ave.” (Biz Journals)

5) Do you need a COVID-19 or monkeypox vaccine? Today from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., the Health Department is offering vaccinations at the Levitt Pavilion in MacArthur Park. You see their setup behind the bandshell when you enter on 6th and Parkview. (LA Public Health)
