This Is Guy Fieri's Favorite California Restaurant

When restaurateur and TV personality Guy Fieri visits California, it's likely his trip will include a stop at Duarte’s Tavern in Pescadero, according to a new report listing the Mayor of Flavortown's favorite restaurant in every state.

Famed for hosting the renowned series "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives," plus a variety of other hit Food Network shows, Fieri is arguably one of the world’s most recognizable food personalities, writes Lovefood.com.

To determine Fieri's favorite restaurants in every state, Lovefood considered eateries included in "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives," as well as user reviews, awards and accolades, and the first-hand experience of our team.

The result was a list of restaurants ranging from hole-in-the-wall joints to century-old hotspots.

Here's a look at the California restaurant that made the list:

Duarte’s Tavern, Pescadero

Lovefood writes: "Founded in 1894, Duarte’s Tavern has long been at the heart of the Pescadero community. The old-school joint was already well established before it featured on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, but Fieri’s love for the Duarte family’s crab cioppino influenced foodies to travel in their masses to get a taste. Exclusively available on weekends, the rich stew is packed with the freshest seafood available, including clams, shrimp, and snapper."

Duarte’s Taver is located at 202 Stage Road in Pescadero.
