Man Killed In Drive-By Shooting In Downtown Los Angeles

The shooter was driving a 2008 Nissan Sentra with license plate 7SPHO79, police said.

LOS ANGELES, CA — A man was shot dead Monday morning during a drive-by shooting in downtown Los Angeles.

The shooting occurred at 5:51 a.m. in the area of 14th and Hill streets, according to Officer Rosario Cervantes of the LAPD's Media Relations Section.

The man was walking in the area when a suspect drove up and fired several shots. The man was pronounced dead at the scene, Cervantes said.

The suspect's vehicle is described as a 2008 Nissan Sentra with license plate 7SPHO79. It was last seen heading south on South Hill Street toward the Santa Monica (10) Freeway, according to sources at the scene.
