The Marlou Opens in DTLA
Popular food truck now has brick and mortar location downtown

Chef Marcos Spaziani from Bravo’s Below Deck Sailing Yacht fame and Chef Louis Huh have taken their popular food truck dishes and incorporated them into the menu at The Marlou, a new downtown eatery.
The pair, known for their ML Eats food truck, have combined their unique and diverse cultural backgrounds to open The Marlou located at the O Hotel in downtown Los Angeles.

Open seven days a week for brunch and dinner, we sampled the caprese salad with heirloom cherry tomatoes, tomato jelly, balsamic caviar and basil foam; the artichoke and cherry tomato confit; the kimchi paella with mussels, clams, calamari, shrimp, pork belly, kimchi and saffron kimchi rice; the roasted fingerling potato with caramelized onions, the rib eye steak with bernaise, verde and chimichurri sauces and a very unique tarte tatin that was shaped in the form of a caramel apple with lemon mousse and apple filling.

We also sampled the passionfruit mimosa and the point six sour with rye whiskey, fernet branca, lemon, egg white and luxardo cherry syrup.

Diners can opt to sit at the big long bar, in the more intimate booths and tables in the open back area or in the front next to the big fireplace. There is also the new Burrow Bar & Kitchen next door.
