LOS ANGELES — A 16-year-old who went missing nearly a month ago has been found dead, according to Los Angeles police.

“Mohammod Tahir has been found deceased,” police said Sunday in a two-sentence news release. “No foul play is suspected.”

Tahir was last seen alive at 7 p.m. on Feb. 24 walking in the 15800 block of South Vermont Avenue, according to police, who said in a Feb. 28 news release that the teen's family and the police department’s Southeast Division were requesting the public’s help to find him.
