Pasadena's U Street Pizza Now Offers Lunch

U Street Pizza, the sister restaurant of UNION in Pasadena, is now offering lunch. Availabale Tuesday through Sunday from noon to 3pm, diners can now enjoy delicious Italian favorites for lunch in Old Town. They also launched a special Happy Hour Tuesday through Thursday from 4 to 5pm and enjoy a slice and $10 cocktails, $8 wine and $5 local beers.

We loved their Pineapple Shorty with blanco tequila, pineapple lime and amass riverine and their Cucumber Future with gin, green chartreuse, cucumber, basil and lime.

Diners can now enjoy U Street Pizza’s tasty New York style pies with California ingredients during lunch and happy hour. There’s lots of lively patio seating or guests can venture inside to watch the pizza action in the huge open kitchen.

U Street’s pizza is made with a blend of organic Skagit and Glacier Peak flours, both from Burlington Washington. This provides a unique light crisp crust and a good chew with body and bite.

Diners can also indulge in tasty appetizers and sides including the Green Goddess and Caesar salads, a good fried cauliflower appetizer and the best Brussels sprouts with fried capers.

Choose from eleven pies including cheese; a tomato and red pepper red; white with cream, ricotta and provolone; sausage and fennel; vodka, cream and pepperoni; Petaluma style; pepperoni, a clam pizza and more.

We sampled the pepperoni, deliciously crisp, full of good toppings and very filling.

We also shared the short rib cannoli which was rich and full of flavor.

Desserts include risotto rice pudding with a fig cherry marmalade and soft serve ice cream in a variety of flavors with sprinkles, chocolate chips and candied nuts.
