Plane Crashes Into Backyard Trees, Narrowly Misses LA County House
A small plane crashed in an LA County backyard, where it remained suspended in midair by trees Monday morning.
TEMPLE CITY, CA — Two people escaped without injury after the small plane they were riding in crashed in the backyard of a San Gabriel Valley home Monday morning.
The crash occurred just before 8 a.m. near Arden Drive and Lower Azusa Road in Temple City, about a mile west of the El Monte Airport, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
"The way this plane came down, it hit a couple of pine trees, spun it around. As it was coming to the home, the trees and the bushes by that home actually caught it and suspended it in midair," a fire spokesperson told KTLA.
