Riders Trapped When SoCal Amusement Park Ride Gets Stuck
More than a dozen people were trapped mid-air Sunday when a thrill ride got stuck at a Southern California carnival.

LOS ANGELES, CA — More than a dozen thrill-seekers got the wrong kind of scare over the weekend when an amusement park ride got stuck mid-air.
It was about 8 p.m. Sunday when 911 calls flooded into the Ventura County Fire Department for help at Conejo Creek Park where the Conejo Valley Days Carnival is taking place.
About 18 people were on the ride, some of them suspended upside down when the ride got stuck. The ride is a popular carnival thrill ride that repeatedly spins people upside down in caged seats like a pulse-pounding Ferris Wheel.
