Unconscious Man Rescued From Metro Subway Tracks After Fall

A man was rescued from the subway tracks at a Metro station over the weekend.

LOS ANGELES, CA — A man was rescued after he fell onto subway tracks and lost consciousness at a downtown Metro station Saturday afternoon, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department's Lyndsey Lantz.

The man fell from the platform at the Bunker Hill Station after 1 p.m. Saturday. First responders first ensured the tracks were de-energized before lifting the man from the tracks and treating him on scene, the LAFD said.

He quickly became alert, firefighters said, and was not injured, according to Metro.

"We thank the LAFD for their rapid response and remind all passengers to stay alert, stay behind the yellow lines and use caution while near rail lines," Metro said in a statement.
