Police Calls: Another Day, Another Political Sign Taken
The Los Altos Police log for Oct. 17 showed an abandoned vehicle was towed, a report of identity theft, and yes, it's election season: a campaign sign was disappeared.

Traffic Hazard
- 12:15 p.m., San Antonio Road and Yerba Buena Avenue; report of utility sign causing a traffic hazard, officer responded and the sign was removed
Signal Repair
- 1:46 p.m., Foothill Expressway and Edith Avenue; signal light broken, referred to Santa Clara County to repair
Suspicious Person
- 2:50 p.m., 1200 block of Estate Drive; suspicious subject, officer checked area, cleared, no report
- 1:13 a.m., Oct. 18, 300 block of Pine Lane; suspicious subject, officer contacted subject, report taken
Theft
- 5:32 p.m., 911, 1300 block of Ranchita Drive; theft of signs, no report taken
Identity Theft
- 7:48 p.m., walk-in, 400 block of Gabilan Street; identity theft, report taken
Sewer Call
- 9:01 p.m, 600 block of Benvenue Avenue; sewer back up, referred to pubic works
