42nd Annual Malibu Chili Cook-Off Kicks Off Labor Day Weekend

Cooks will compete for the title of top chili and fan favorite at the 2024 Malibu Chili Cook-Off this Labor Day weekend.

MALIBU, CA — The highly-anticipated Malibu Chili Cook-Off is making its return this Labor Day weekend for its 42nd year.

The four-day event, taking place from Aug. 30 to Sept. 2, will include carnival rides, food, music, a showcase of local artisans and obviously the Chili Competition. Cooks will compete in both meat and vegan categories to win top-chili and fan-favorite.

Last year, Universal Music Group won first place in the meat category and Duke's Malibu won in the vegan category.

Tickets to this year's event are only available online. All proceeds from the event will be benefitting the Boys and Girls Club of Malibu.

The 5th Annual Johnny Strange Legacy Skate Contest will also take place during the weekend event on Saturday. Winners of the contest are awarded cash prizes and honorable mention awards with various prizes.
