Hazardous Waste, Electronics To Be Accepted At Malibu Collection Event

The collection event will allow residents to bring their waste to City Hall and have it removed from their trunk or pickup bed.

MALIBU, CA — County officials will accept hazardous and electronic waste at a collection event June 15 in Malibu.

The collection event will allow residents to bring their waste to City Hall and have it removed from their trunk or pickup bed.

The following materials will be accepted: water-based paint, used motor oil, anti-freeze, automotive and household batteries, unbroken compact florescent bulbs and electronics.

Residents may drop off a maximum of 15 gallons, or 125 lbs., of paint or motor oil per trip.

The event takes place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at City Hall. The city schedules its events on the third Saturday in February, April, June, August and October, rain permitting.
