MALIBU, CA — Now that Christmas has passed, don't just toss or burn your Christmas trees. Residents in Culver City have several options to recycle their real trees for free.

In Malibu, residents can dispose of their trees in their green curbside bins, though trees must be cut to fit inside the bins.

Whole trees will be accepted at the Chili Cook-Off Lot, 23575 Civic Center Way, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. through Jan. 12. The trees will be recycled into mulch.
