Malibu City Manager Up For Three-Year Contract Extension

The Malibu City Council is expected next week to approve a three-year contract extension for Malibu City Manager Jim Thorsen. 

Thorsen, who was recently evaluated by the council, was first brought to Malibu in 2006. 

The extension of the contract through May 11, 2016 does not include a salary increase. 

According to the State Controller's Office, Malibu's city manager made $204,839 in 2011, not including benefits. Data is only available through 2011. 

The council will consider the contract amendment at its Wednesday, June 12 meeting at Malibu City Hall.
