The Agents of Discovery program combines environmental education with augmented reality.

MALIBU, CA — The city recently launched a new augmented reality program for kids to explore the plants and animals at Legacy Park with the help of technology.
The Agents of Discovery program is meant to promote environmental education and the exploration of the city's natural habitats, the city said.
Using a mobile app, kids 4 to 12 are sent on a "mission" through the park, competing 11 challenges like finding an identifying plants and answering trivia questions. Kids who complete the mission get a Malibu Agents of Discovery badge at the Malibu Library.
