MALIBU, CA — Following Mayor Steve Uhring's State of the City address last week, Malibu officials have released an accompanying video that offers a deep dive into city affairs.

The State of the City video features numerous city officials reflecting on the city's accomplishments over the last year and looking ahead to the future.

"I believe that our most significant highlight is the performance of our staff over the last year. Despite issues with recruitment and a heavy workload, they got the job done and continue to improve the quality of life for our Malibu residents," Uhring said in the video.

"They enhanced our efforts to prepare for future fires. Faced with record El Niño winter storms, they kept our roads open and our homes safe. They continue to move forward with the Woolsey Fire rebuild and at the same time, won state recognition for their efforts protecting our environment."
