Malibu Tree Trimmer Injured After Being Shocked

The 32-year-old man was breathing and conscious when he was transported to the hospital.

MALIBU, CA -- A man was injured Monday afternoon in Malibu after being shocked while trimming a tree, officials said.

The Los Angeles County Fire Department responded to the call of an electric shock at around 1:40 p.m. in the 6900 block of Wildlife Road, Los Angeles County Sheriff's Lt. A.J. Rotella said.

The 32-year-old man was concious and breathing when he was transported to UCLA Medical Center in Santa Monica, he said. There was no further information on the man's conditions, Rotella said.

Southern California Edison assisted with the call, according to the Lost Hills/Malibu Sheriff's Station.
