MALIBU, CA — Malibu authorities on Friday rescued a dog that fell 200 feet down a canyon.

The pup was injured and weak but returned back home Friday, according to Malibu Search and Rescue. The large dog had been missing for a week before being found around 7:15 p.m. Friday. The rescue took a couple of hours, according to Malibu Search and Rescue.

“Weak, but in good spirits, the dog was transferred to its owner,” authorities said.

Two French bulldog puppies were recently returned to their Long Beach home after being stolen and missing for almost a week. Officers found the dogs and arrested their supposed captors.
