MALIBU, CA — Continued rainfall has led county health officials to warn beachgoers to stay out of the ocean until at least Saturday morning.

The Los Angeles County Department of Public Health extended a Beach Water Use Advisory for all county beaches on Wednesday, warning that "bacteria, chemicals, debris, trash, and other public health hazards from city streets and mountain areas" are likely to contaminate ocean waters.

People who enter the water around storm drains, creeks, and rivers after the rain could become ill.
