MALIBU, CA — Malibu residents can prepare their homes for a potential natural disaster with free emergency weather radio.

The Los Angeles County Office of Emergency Management and Los Angeles County Fire Department will distribute free National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration weather radios to Malibu residents.

To get a free radio, register at this link before Wednesday. A pickup time and location will be set once registered.

NOAA weather radios can receive emergency alerts during natural disasters like fires and earthquakes and when power is out, according to the city of Malibu.
