Winds, Fire Weather Expected For Thanksgiving In Malibu
Gusty winds are expected throughout Los Angeles on Thanksgiving, creating an elevated risk of wildfire.

MALIBU, CA — Malibu is expected to see gusty winds through the Thanksgiving holiday, meaning residents could see power outages and higher wildfire risk.
Starting Wednesday night, winds between 30 and 50 miles per hour will rip through the greater Los Angeles area. The winds will be strongest in the mountains and are expected to let up Friday, according to the National Weather Service.
"Check emergency supplies & plans, pets, check on elderly & vulnerable neighbors," the city of Malibu said in a Tweet.

The wind will cause hazardous driving conditions, high wildfire risk and possible power outages.
Malibu on Thursday will see a high of 78 degrees with a zero percent chance of rain, according to Accuweather. The holiday will be sunny with low cloud cover.
