Beachin'? Here's What You Can Do At The Beach In Manhattan Beach
Los Angeles County now allows beachgoers to have chairs, canopies and coolers on the sand. Fishing is also now allowed.

MANHATTAN BEACH, CA — Los Angeles County beaches reopened over the weekend and now people can start using the beach for leisure. Piers also reopened Monday in Manhattan Beach, Hermosa Beach and Redondo Beach. The Santa Monica Pier is still closed.
Here's what is allowed at the beach:
- Sunbathing, sitting on the sand
- Chairs, canopies or coolers
- Individual or family ocean activities (such as surfing, swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding and body surfing)
- Individual or family active recreation and exercise (such as walking, running and using the beach bike path)
- Fishing
Beach rules are available online. People are still required to physically distance and wear face coverings around the water and others. Group physical activities, including volleyball, are not allowed. Fire pits and RVs are also not allowed.
