MANHATTAN BEACH, CA — The following is the most recent Manhattan Beach Police Department crime summary.

From Dec. 5 to 11 there were:

  • 668 calls for service
  • 11 arrests
  • 11 traffic collisions
  • 38 crime reports taken

  • At approximately 6:34 a.m. on Dec. 5, MBPD responded to a report of a catalytic converter theft in progress. The victim told police that the suspects fled eastbound on 3rd Street in a silver hatchback. According to police, the victim's vehicle has the catalytic converter stolen previously.
  • On Dec. 6, a MBPD detective working retail burglary suppression watched a pair of suspects commit a theft from BevMo. According to the detective, the two suspects had stolen more than $950 in merchandise from the store, making the theft a felony. Both suspects were arrested.
